INTERSHIP/EXTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
This is an opportunity in community arts. The Arts Council of Louisville, Inc. provides students or graduates the opportunity to experience and learn about the arts through direct, hands-on work with local programs and projects as well as related arts administration areas. Interns/externs with the Arts Council of Louisville administrator and personnel will develop a work scheduled that will allow the intern/extern to acquire training and skills for future opportunities and college credit if applicable. This arts opportunity provides dependable and high quality support to the intern/extern.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assignments include community arts projects, arts advocacy, arts activism, layout and design of brochures or newsletters, marketing, direct mailings, research, special events, C.A.L.L. Directory compilation, and related tasks.
RELATED TASKS
General office support, answering incoming calls, recording messages, greeting visitors, preparing correspondence and reports, filing, copying, emailing and faxing.
REQUIREMENTS
Intern/Extern must be at least 18 years old. Computer experience in Windows Microsoft Office required. Ability to learn new software applications, flexibility with schedule and adaptability to fast-paced deadlines, communication and writing skills and team player. |
